Common Questions & the Answers
My reindeer love to be up high. Right now they are perched up on the roof of the building eat carrots.
My Elves spend the whole year making presents for good boys and girls? If you can promise me that you’ve been very good then later I will see what they have made for you. Now, is there anything else you’d like?
Real is whatever you believe in. But let’s have a little chat before you make your mind up. Why don’t you start by telling me what you’d like for Christmas?
I’m sorry that Mummy/Daddy can’t be with you. But I know wherever that they are, they are thinking about you very much. Now, is there anything else you would you like for Christmas?
They believe in the magic of Christmas and above everything else they believe that every child that is well behaved deserves to have a present delivered on Christmas Eve.
The most important thing is that you try very hard to be good from now until Christmas. Good behaviour is always rewarded and your grownups will let me know if you have been good.
Wow. You're lucky to be at Nanny’s for Christmas Eve! I’ll tell you what, I’ll make sure Rudolph brings us to Nanny’s house first.
No problem at all! In fact it’ll save us landing on the roof! I’ll ask your grownups if I can use my magic key and we’ll use the front door just like you!
If you can leave me some milk and cookies, that would be great. My Reindeer love carrots. Could you leave one out for them? Perhaps your grownups can chop it into nine pieces so that each of them get a bite.
Magic! And do you know what magic is powered by? Good behaviour. So the better you can behave from now until Christmas day, the faster we fly.
Yes, thank you very much for taking the time to write to me. What was the most important part of your letter?
A SHORT STORY
“My journey from the North Pole today was very bumpy! Do you know why?
– Because last night Rudolph drank lots of the Elves’ lemonade and this morning he began to hiccup very loudly as we took for the skies in our sleigh. Rudolph was hiccupping so much that the presents began to fall from the sleigh and the Elves had to catch them. But won’t worry, his hiccups have gone now and I know we’ve got a present safely loaded in my sleigh for you on Christmas Eve.”
SANTA’S QUESTIONS
- “What would you like for Christmas?” – Your most important question.
- “Who have you brought with you today? Do you think they are on the good list?”
- “What have you been doing to get ready for Christmas?”
- “How are getting on at school? My favourite subjects were Geography and Toy Making.”
- “Are you keeping your room tidy? Last year, I remember I tripped up over a sock.”
HOW TO END A VISIT
“Now, remember to leave a carrot out for my Reindeer. And, cut it into 9 pieces. Thank you for coming to see me. Have a great Christmas. I hope you enjoy your presents. See you next year.”
SANTA VISIT GUIDELINES
- On busy days visits needs to be concise to reduce queuing times for children.
- Elves need to be out the front of the Grotto when not assiting you with your visit.
- It is perfectly fine to allow children to sit on your lap. But only do so when initiated by a parent. Where children initiate, quickly check with the parents first. It’s absolutely fine to ask.
- If your costume begins to smell, ask your Grotto Manager to dry clean it!
- We always take two photos of every family and it is fine for families to take their own.
